Remove the password rather than better protect it

Keypulse · 0 password · proof of co-presence

The problem

A shared secret is a secret that can be stolen.

Securing a digital transaction between several parties without relying on a shared secret or a password — one that could be stolen, transmitted, intercepted or reused.

The governing constraint

The real problem wasn't the secret. It was co-presence.

Authenticating two parties separately doesn't prove they were physically present together at the moment of the transaction. So the real question wasn't "how do we verify their secret?" but "how do we cryptographically establish a co-presence tied to a specific transaction?"

The approach

Reframe authentication as contextual proof.

Rather than asking the user to know or transmit a secret, Keypulse builds trust from the interaction between the parties, their devices and the context of the transaction.

The result

0 password
secure a transaction with no secret to steal
co-presence
proof that the parties were together, at the moment of the transaction
